On Saturday November 11th, I had the privilege of attending a dope event that had a lane for everyone. From music, to fashion, natural products, and hair………there was something for everyone. Being someone fairly new to the industry I am always feeling for vibes, and this event had #alladat. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a woman by the name of Shortie who immediately welcomed me into the aromatic space. From the Nostalja table with beard oils to the Futuristic fashion, I was already sold. It was held in a space owned by the one and only Kween Junell which was located in Norfolk, Va. This event space serves as a platform for us to bring all ideas to life so I suggest you take her up on the offer like a few ladies did to create, “Treasured Gems.”
When I arrived there was a fashion show going on and it was lit. I literally saw more than 5 or 6 lines while I was there and the professionalism of each designer was on point. There was a DJ so the vibe was just right, even in the down times. From taking photos of each designer, meeting vendors, and vibing with the people there was a lot to do. I think what disappointed me most about this event was how much money I spent while I was there. Nonetheless, I was extremely pleased with my time spent at this event and I would definitely attend anything each of these ladies put on.
Mad love to Junell, Shortie, Niki, and Dari for putting on such an amazing event. You ladies continue to put on for the city and take all that’s yours. 20Sumn is here for it.
